An inn where you can enjoy a Japanese garden and Hagi antiques
This inn has a Japanese garden that incorporates the natural landscape and is lit up at night. Guests can also enjoy meals made from ingredients from the land and sea around Hagi. You can also spend a relaxing time in a bath made with stones from a volcano in Hagi called Mt. Kasa.
On the premises is a museum that displays Hagi antiques that preserve 400 years of history related to the inn. They include paintings by Matsubayashi Keigetsu, a Japanese-style painter from Hagi, and antiques and folding screens that were donated by the Mori family that ruled Hagi as feudal lords. The museum also has a collection of old maps of the Hagi castle town.
