Over 25,000 camellia trees bloom a brilliant red

Over 25,000 camellia japonica trees grow wild at the Kasayama Camellia Groves, and Hagi Camellia Festival is held at their peak viewing time.
This year the Camellia Festival is taking place from 11th February-19th March.
There is lots to see and enjoy at Hagi Camellia Festival, so be sure not to miss it!

By Car:
Parking according to map
Paid Parking Fee: 300 yen (one stay)

By Train:
・Take Bōchō bus from Higashi Hagi Station. Change at Koshigahama bus stop to free shuttle bus to Kasayama Camellia Groves from Koshigahama Shiei Car Park shuttle bus terminal.
・Take San’in Main Line from Hagi or Higashi Hagi Stations to Koshigahama Station. 20 minute walk to Koshigahama Station to Shiei Car Park shuttle bus terminal.


By Bus:
・Take Bōchō microbus from Hagi Bus Center or Higashi Hagi Station. Change at Koshigahama to free shuttle bus.
